Brief : A poster design series I was inspired to make, it's based upon classic concert and tour posters from the 1970's -2000's. Some of the bands I looked at for reference consisted of Metallica, The Grateful Dead, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam. I tried blending self made illustrations, retro colors, and texture to add a sense of nostalgia to them. All the bands displayed are entirely fictional and based of an 1980's rock appeal.
Execution:Researched a variety of different concert posters, and started to create rough thumbnails in pencil. I then transferred the sketches to photoshop and began to draw over them. After reaching an illustration I was happy with for each I transferred them into indesign and placed tour dates and titles into position.
